ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES:

 

When lead singer Patrick Woolam first decided he wanted to be a singer/songwriter at a young age, he spent his first 5 years or so in coffee shops, open mic nights, and songwriters circles in the Kansas City area. It was just himself and an acoustic guitar. When he first learned to play, he was given a looping pedal, and would record rhythm guitar parts, and play over them so he had something to practice his blues guitar playing when he was alone. Little did he know that this practice technique would become one of the focal points, and most entertaining attributes to his solo acoustic performances. 

 

Although he does include and cover a lot of the songs his full band plays during his acousitc sets, he adds many other great acoustic guitar songs, and the performance is far from the same. From recording rhythmic drumming on the body of his acoustic, to the use of beautiful chords and "guitarmonies" as he has labeled them, this is an acoustic performance that truly sets him apart from any other solo artist in Kansas City.

 

This service is great for wedding cocktail hours, small business get togethers at smaller, more intimate venues, or any place that you want a bit more of a relaxed and quieter atmosphere. One thing is consistent in both the full band and acousitc sets: they are both bound to entertain any crowd, and leave no one disappointed.
