ABOUT THE BAND:

The Transients have made a name for themselves as one of Kansas City's premier cover/party bands for 7 years and counting. From Blues and Classic Rock, to Country and Top 40, they can play it all. Their high energy, hard hitting performances have been raved about by many of KC's top clubs and venues.

The Transients bring a fun, fresh approach to the cover band market. While most cover groups tend to theme themselves off of a particular era of music, or pay tribute to their favorite band, The Transients have become one of the few diverse and unique "variety" cover groups. Each member comes from a differnt background of musical influence, and brings that piece of their personality to the stage, for an amazing and eclectic blend of songs each show. This has made them an easy band to market, no matter what type of venue they enter.

Although The Transients cover a variety of popular crowd pleasing songs in each set, they take pride in their musicianship. Priority number one for the group has always been focusing on being masters of their craft. They bring a uniqe personal spin to every song they cover. Many say, "After hearing The Transients cover a hit song, it's hard to listen to the original version anymore." You would be hard pressed to find a band that goes from Johnny Cash, to Michael Jackson, straight into Stevie Ray Vaughn and Montel Jordan-- and thats just the first four songs to one of their 4, 45 minute sets.

Lead singer and front man Patrick Woolam, has been a well studied Blues guitarist for 18 years. He is one of the two original founding members of The Transients. His raspy and soulful voice brings a unique texture to every song they cover, and many have compared his guitar skills with greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. He was personally chosen by Keith Urban to perform with him in Nashville at a record label party for Keith's #1 hit single "Long Hot Summer". (Visit Youtube.com/KeithUrbanPatrickWoolam) Patrick also has an original project under his first and last name, with a brand new album he released in 2014 titled "Long Time Comin". This album is available for download on iTunes, CD Baby, Google Play, and Amazon.

Drummer Brandon Douglas is the only other original founding member of The Transients. Easily considered one of Kansas City's top drummers, Douglas and Woolam have been playing together for over 10 years. They bring a chemistry to the stage that is unmatched by any group in town.

Bassist Andy "Hashbrowns" West is a musical robot, hidden in a human body. Andy joined The Transients 5 years ago. Considered to be "the quiet favorite" of most Transient fans, he is a trumpet player first, playing for Missouri Western University, and a bassist second. But don't let that fool you. He picked up bass guitar 7 years ago, and can hold his own with the best in town.

Sara Brazil is the newest member of The Transients. She has been a vocalist in the Kansas City music scene for over 10 years, and is best known for her many years as the lead singer for the popular 90's cover group "90 Minutes". Along with her powerful voice, high energy and repertoire of iconic female songs, her stage presence alone is enough to keep everyone dancing! Sara brings a wonderful new dynamic and depth to The Transients already diverse show.
